The RAiN Man

In a recent quest for a piece of customised art for our offices, RAiN visited Newtown - a haven for local talents, eccentric African creators and artistic mavens. There, we met an artist to whom we explained the concepts of auditing and accounting. We unpacked how the company works, how we do our jobs and how we engage with clients.

The artist's brief? To produce an artistic representation of his impression of 'a RAiN accountant'. The result? An astounding, creative and true visual manifestation of what we are. Our response? Sheer delight that the extent to which RAiN is different in approach, attitude and capacity is so clear, even to a perfect stranger.

Some of the wonderful facets of this masterpiece include the artist's use of real, 3-dimensional details: a pen, to show a central tool of our trade; a watch, to indicate the importance of time-keeping; cufflinks, to suggest a reputable image; a fist as the knot of a tie, to symbolize strength; and paper mâché as a medium, to denote communication.
